Teresa's main interests in dentistry are Implants, Orthodontics and Cosmetic Reconstruction.

Teresa works at both clinics.

Teresa graduated from Guys Dental Hospital in 1980. She is a member of -

• The International Team for Implantologists – ITI (2007)

• Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists - ICOI (1998)
• Founder member of the Functional Orthodontics Support Group –FOSG (2005)

She is married with no children but has both cats and chickens. Her hobbies are dentistry, walking and skiing.

Dr Nancy Almeida - Specialist orthodontist. Nancy Almeida studied in one of the most prestigious Dental Universities throughout Europe (University of Barcelona) and at the Premier World Advanced Dental School (Las Vegas Institute). She has also contributed to Scientific Articles in Orthodontics and TMJ Dysfunction, presented several scientific studies and practices the latest advanced techniques in orthodontics.  Click here for more info on Dr Almeida

Dr Naresh Patel - Periodontist. Naresh graduated from Guys Hospital London in 2001. He has worked in general practice in London and Bedfordshire. Naresh is very passionate about dentistry and has a constant drive to learn new and exciting techniques. Over the years he has developed a strong affinity towards managing complex gum problems, which has led him towards the completion of his postgraduate diploma in clinical periodontology. Outside work Naresh enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, cooking and travelling, where he has accomplished a few feats including; Trekking across the Andes, Sky diving, swimming with pirhana fish in the Amazon and jumping off a cliff with a kite attached to his back!

Dr Shakir Mughal - Dentist. Shakir has completed advanced cosmetic dental training at Harley Street and the top rated Pankey institute in Miami. Shakir believes patients should become engaged in their own oral health and helps them on their journey to complete oral health and to show them that a beautiful smile is perceived as healthy and young, and that function and beauty are inseparable. Shakir is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD). His main passion is in improving patient’s smiles with top quality dentistry. His hobbies include keeping fit and participating in sports such as football, golf and running marathons

Clinic Manager

Claudette Murrell - Clinic Manager.

Claudette joined Appledore as Clinic Manager in September 2008. She has been in the dental industry since 1978 and is also a Dental Nurse tutor. She lives in MK and is married with 4 children and one grandson. She enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends including salsa dancing.

Reception team

Lisa Webster - Reception Team Leader lives in MK with husband and 3 children. Lisa likes spending time camping with her family and keeping fit.

Chrissy O’Donoghue - Treatment co-ordinator. Chrissy lives in MK, likes socialising, going to the cinema, shopping, reading, exercising and walking.

Laura Hawes - Previously a Senior Dental Nurse, she now also enjoys being a Treatment co-ordinator with her nursing duties - Lives in MK. Enjoys socialising, going to the cinema, shopping, exercising and spending time with her husband and family.
